We are happy to celebrate the birthday of one of our wonderful teachers, Rita Ferguson. Her grandchildren joined in the fun. Rita works with our infants in our Nursery.
This Montessori work is called the 100 board. A preschool student organized and placed 100 tiles in order and then wrote each number. This work takes several days to complete and results in a sense of great pride by the student.
Two preschoolers attempt to match the numerals to the red and blue rods. These materials help children understand the value (length) of each rod is represented by a numeral.
