Policy Summary

Alabama Immunization Card
This blue health card or a religious waiver 
must be on file in the school office before the first day of class in order for any student to attend. 

Media Release
Parents give permission for your child’s photographs/videos to be used for information purposes within the school and to provide information about The Capitol School’s programs to the public through websites, videos, social media, publications, commercials, newspapers/print media and television. If you do NOT wish for your child’s images to be included, please send a signed note to the school office.

Admission Policy and Handbook
All students entering Capitol School must comply with policies, rules, and Student Handbook as established by school faculty and administration. 

Parent Service Commitment
The Capitol School is a partnership of school and family. Parents/guardians agree to contribute one hour per week (36 hours per year) as a volunteer of The Capitol School. This time may be contributed weekly, monthly, or accrued for a special event such as a field trip or planning a school event. 

Parent / Teacher Communication
Required parent-teacher conferences are held in August, October and March. Additional conferences can be scheduled as needed at other times convenient for parents’ schedules. Newsletters, emails, texts and 
Remind 101 will enable communication between parents and faculty.

The Capitol School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, or in athletic and other school-administered programs. We offer educational programs that are secular, non-ideological and neutral.
